VIP Guest Speaker: Professor Robert Winston
The acclaimed scientist and popular TV personality Professor Robert Winston will be the VIP Guest speaker for Ireland’s First 1000 Days Baby Show 2015.
Professor Winston will appear at Northern Ireland’s First 1000 Days Baby Show in Belfast on 15th March 2015.
As keynote speaker, Professor Winston will take to the main stage several times throughout the day to discuss a number of interesting topics concerning pregnancy, babies and their development.
Visitor’s will also get the opportunity ask the Professor questions in an open floor Q&A session.
About Professor Winston
Robert Winston is Professor of Science and Society at Imperial College London. In the 1970s he developed techniques that improved fertility treatments and later pioneered improvements in vitro fertilisation (IVF) and subsequently developed pre-implantation diagnosis. He runs research at the Institute of Reproductive and Developmental Biology at Imperial aiming to improve human transplantation. He has published over 300 scientific publications in peer review journals.
Committed to science communication, he has presented numerous award-winning TV and radio programmes and written over 20 books.
He is passionate about classical music, pre-war cars, Arsenal and fine wine.
Professor Winston is the chairman of Genesis Research Trust, a charity whose aim is to give all children a healthy start to life. Genesis Research Trust will be exhibiting at Northern Ireland’s First 1000 Days Baby Show in Belfast.
